Gwynne Shotwell

President, COO at SpaceX

Gwynne Shotwell is a President and COO of SpaceX, where she manages the operations and is responsible for managing customer and strategic relations to support company growth. She was the 11th employee of SpaceX after joining the company in 2002.

Before joining SpaceX, Gwynne served as a Space Systems Director at Microcosm, Inc. She has also spent more than 10 years at the Aerospace Corporation, where she held positions in space systems engineering and technology as well as project management.

Gwynne has received the World Technology Award for Individual Achievement in Space and was inducted into the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame. Through her leadership in both corporate and external programs, she has helped raise over $1.4 million for STEM education programs reaching thousands of students nationwide.
